What made you want to be an author? [Top]
Honestly, I'd never thought about it. It just sort of happened. I wrote poems to cope with life and during my off time in the military I managed to write a book, almost by accident. As I developed it more and more I was excited about publication.
Are any of the characters in your book(s) based on real people? [Top]
I couldn't necessarily give full credit to any one person for my characters. Although some were a direct spin off of someone I'd known in life. The development of the characters was a little out of my own hands. I just wrote what seemed suitable and created the ideal characters for the roles they had to play. So in short, my characters are not based upon real people. More upon the ideas of real people.
Why did you pick vampires for your first book? [Top]
Well, I've always had this odd obsession with vampires, even when I was younger. My younger cousin will even vouch for the vampire stories I told him and his sister when they were kids. I've always been fascinated by the concept and enjoy when vampire's are portrayed as being more real than fiction.
Do you plan to write any other genre of books? [Top]
Who knows what the future holds. For now I'm going to work on the series until I feel it's complete. The thing with writing is that you can continue to create new situations and events that happen. It's just like life put to words and something new can happen every day.
Can you sign my copy of your book? [Top]
Of course! I'll have 50 copies available for purchase through the site that I'll sign and send personally to each person who places an order in advance. If you don't get one of those copies keep an eye on my news page for book-signing events in the future.

Are you an only child? [Top]
Yes and no. I'm my father's only child, but I have two older brothers from my mother's first marriage. They're just like any other brothers, I've known them since birth and my oldest taunted me all through my childhood years. We may not have the same dad, technically, but they're still my brothers.
Who is LostKitten? [Top]
The name LostKitten derived when I was 13 years old. I was playing a game called "The Realm" and wanted a new name. My cat at the time, Sheeba, had kittens and was always hiding them. While I was trying to think of a good name one of the kittens started to meow at my feet. First thought was "Aw look at the little lost kitten" and hence the name was formed! From that day forward I've been known as LostKitten (or some equivalent) throughout the World Wide Web.

Absolutely and it drives my husband crazy!

I'm sorry, but I don't disclose that kind of information to just anyone. People who know me use messengers and the games I play to contact me.
Is it true that you are/were a model? [Top]
Yes I am also a model. At the moment my modeling is more of a hobby than another career. My first occupation is an Army Wife, then an author, and lastly a model. I do enjoy being in front of the camera and being dolled up. It makes me feel beautiful and I think all women should have that feeling from time to time.
Do you model nude? [Top]
No. At one point--at the start of my modeling--I did pose nude for limited photographers. I consider the nude form to be beautiful and very artistic. Unfortunately there are people that feel bare skin is equivalent to pornography no matter how tasteful the image is. So to maintain a level of respect among those who do not understand artistic nudity I made the choice not to venture down that path of modeling. Of course, I am still a big supporter of those who participate in tasteful nude art.
